All Set for Daily Drive by American Legion
State headquarters issued instructions for the Daley Drive to be held Friday and Saturday. Dr. Eugene J. McCarthy urged post commanders to act now to ensure success. Daisies coin boxes and sashes were distributed. 60 percent of individuals’ receipts go to local treasuries while 40 percent goes to State headquarters. The fund aided 331 cases from Christmas relief totaling 2208.20 dollars, helping unemployed ex servicemen with coal groceries rent and essentials.
