In one August excursion to Boston a man joined a sailor boarding house crew for the Norwegian ship Rajoe. He sailed to Buenos Ayres after 56 days at sea, then worked as fireman on British tramp steamers Kirkoswald and Hornby Castle. He came to Galveston, then New Orleans and New York, ending with aid from lawyer James H. Spear before heading to Boston.
