Murder Ends North End Row in Fatal Street Fight
In North End last night a 38 caliber pistol and a deadly stiletto sparked two violent clashes. Vincenzo Ponte of 18 Charter street died after a scuffle with Benigno Santuesso of West End at Severello's on Moon street. Santuesso, 25, was captured after a chase with Lt Rosato. A second barroom assault at North and Clark streets left a wounded man at 21 Moon street, attacker at 20, both Italians local to the North End.
