Dernorr Mich Feb 17 The meeting of the general committee on arrangements announced that Michigan Central will run a special train from Chicago for Feb 23 to Detroit for ex President Cleveland. Other trains are expected and a large influx of visitors is anticipated. Arrangements proceed satisfactorily.
Forecast for Thursday calls for clear skies and light variable winds in New England with slightly warmer temperatures. Thursday night will be warmer and probably fair, with Friday warmer and cloudy. For New York, winds turn southerly and light, with fair weather and increasing cloudiness Friday, possibly light rain or snow.

To that end he is withholding several patronage vacancies including western Pennsylvania internal revenue collectorships and a Court of Claims vacancy created by Scofield’s death. The outcome depends on Quay and Cameron’s eventual response.
