Death of Mrs Gov Long Sparks Commonwealth Sympathy

Readers learn with regret of the death yesterday at the governor’s winter residence. The governor extends sincere sympathy to a large circle of intimate friends and to the people of the commonwealth at large.

Fire destroys Pennsylvania Military Academy in Chester

A blaze swept the Pennsylvania Military Academy in Chester on Feb 16, engulfing the four story building. The fire started in the laboratory and spread fast, destroying the 125000 dollar structure and all state property. About 143 cadets escaped with personal effects saved.
