Fitzpatrick Reverses Stance on Brookline School Board Nomination
Thomas B. Fitzpatrick told a Post reporter he misunderstood the issues raised by the Brookline Parents' Association and now agrees to let his name remain on the association slate. The group has placed Brookline school committee members who do not send their children to public schools on its slate. Mrs. Rufus A. Flanders, a nominee, says the board should be composed of parents who send their children to the public schools and adds the Sanford case does not affect the association's rejection of Hobbs and Baker.
