A 16 year old Mystic Conn boy led officers to a gang exploiting boys for cash. Four men Emerson Palmer alias Frisco Slim John Birch Butler William Cooper and William J Duck were arrested. Palmer ran the racket while the others acted as bankers and labor for the enterprise. The youth Johnson traveled from Boston to Newport Fall River New Bedford Boston and East Greenwich before joining the gang. He escaped and aided police who arrested the quartet after a chase and skirmish.
