Senate Finance Clash Over Bill Faces Climax Today

In Washington on February 13 the Senate debated the pending finance bill with two major speeches. Senator Allison defended the measure while Senator Jones of Nevada attacked it as giving banks excessive power and threatening gold currency. The session also noted Representative Chickering's death and its funeral attendances. A House joint resolution raised the cost limit for the new government printing office by 429000 dollars.
