Clergyman Opposes Prohibitory Law Hearing on License Bill

The Joint Special Committee on the Liquor Law held a hearing in the Green Room at the State House on repealing the Prohibitory law. Rev B F Clarke of North Chelmsford argued for the License bill, noting temperance progress through moral reform rather than force. He cited biblical wine and scholarly support, while contending not all scholars agree. The session, led by Clarke, adjourned with other hearings listed.
