Warsaw dispatches report military fire on strikers in Ostrowicz with unknown casualties. Lodz fatalities and injuries are given as 19 killed and 112 wounded on Thursday, with figures applying only to parts of the disturbance.

Miss Helen Gormely 28 of 308 Eighth Street Boston attempted suicide by carbolic acid in the Dudley Street surface car waiting room. She was hospitalized in critical condition with possible recovery. She cried I want to die and then lost consciousness after the act. She had worked as a laundress at the Day Nursery on Tyler Street and lived with her aunt Mrs D M Smith.
The worst blizzard of the season swept into Fonda New York and the Mohawk valley. Rail traffic is impeded while telegraph and telephone lines suffer heavy outages. Winds reached high velocity by midnight.
