In Roxbury Police Court Patrick and John Dolan were held in eight hundred dollars for examination on a charge of assault with intent to kill John Good. A melee occurred and Patrick Dolan delivered a deep knife wound though not dangerous.

Fatal Accident Kills Boston and Worcester Railroad Brakeman
William Burns, a brakeman on the Boston and Worcester Railroad, was instantly killed in Worcester on Saturday evening while attempting to move from the engine to the cars as they entered the city. He resided at 33 Oswego Street and left a wife and three children.

Captain Amos Harriman, master of the schooner Shawmut, died Friday afternoon at Central wharf. He fell ill at noon and told the crew he would die at low tide, leaving a wife and four children in Brewer, Maine.
