Cautionary Signals in Bates District Politics and Delegates
A storm of conjecture surrounds Bates faction's stance in the tenth district as ex mayor Winstow’s challenge to Walker falters over real estate ties. Rumors hint Bates may run against Walker, or support Russell’s return, while Randell’s first district race features Bourne Councillor Keith. Simpkins and Nye vie for Cape senatorial nod, Greenhalge plans a Concord caucus and postmaster fights loom in Lawrence. Delegates reapportionment sparks clashes as towns fear losing clout under a proposed floor of one delegate per 150 votes, risking diminished town representation and preserving city gains.
