Robbery on Washington Street. Kinney Sworn Suspect under Fire

About 3 o'clock yesterday Frank Kinney of Cambridge was garroted by three men on Washington street near Kneeland. They took his watch and chain under an electric light and the incident was witnessed by pedestrians. In Municipal Court George LeClaire was held for trial for obtaining money under false pretences. He claimed mistaken identity. Frank Kinney, alias Vickey, was sentenced for wife beating. Frederick S. Hale was arraigned for embezzling $148 from John B. Danforth. case continued to Feb. 12.

Lynn man who escaped Ipswich House of Correction recaptured

About six months ago Charles Hinds of Lynn was sentenced to one year for stealing clothing. He escaped, was recaptured and returned, then escaped again about two months later. A day or two ago he was seen in Chicago Jr., and yesterday a detective began pursuit to recapture the fugitive.
