Senate reviews fourth annual Museum of Comparative Zoology report

The Senate yesterday considered the fourth annual report of the Museum of Comparative Zoology with accompanying papers detailing the museum's condition. A few public spirited individuals contributed 11 200 in aid. The House adopted an order for the Military Affairs Committee to study appointing a commissioner to hear inventors and manufacturers of firearms and ordnance. Numerous petitions and reports were presented. See report on the fourth page.

Death of Nathan Hart Senior Editor at Brookline Home

The Daily Advertiser reports the death of its senior editor Hon. Nathan Hart at his Brookline residence on Sunday evening. Born August 16 1784 in Westhampton he earned his name from a Revolutionary spy uncle and graduated Williams College in 1804. He practiced law in Boston after Exeter Academy links married Alexander Everett's sister and influenced journalism with probity charity and public spirit. Mrs Hale survives him.
