At about 9 pm, Big Tim Sullivan will fire the pistol to start a 26 mile 385 yard marathon at Madison Square Garden between Alfred Shrubb the English midget and Tom Longboat the Ontario Indian. The outcome hinges on which runner breaks the tape in this historic long distance clash.
