Mayor Curtis unveils charter bill tied to his acceptance letter

City Hall discussions reveal the charter amendment is Curtis’s measure with Hibbard presenting it in the House as a courtesy. The plan includes a yearly registration, dissolving ferry supervision, moving ferries to streets, and moving vinegar and milk, and provisions inspectors under the Board of Health. A bipartisan elections commission is favored though NY style annual registration may meet opposition. No copy of the bill had been seen by chiefs at City Hall.
