Columnus Georgia February 4 reports Jet Rogers, a Black man who stabbed Mrs. Striblin in Chambers County Alabama, was forcibly taken from Lafayette jail by fifty men Saturday night and lynched at a tree.

In Marshall Monday afternoon the Championship billiard match saw Morse defeat Tay 150 to 130. Both players had runs of 10. referee was T. F. McLaughlin. Fatal Fall and Other Crimes and Accidents in City

Jane Buller of 259 North street fell down stairs at 41 Fleet street and died soon after. Mary Lynch, 70, of 70 B street South Boston, fell and sustained serious spinal injuries, transported to the city hospital. Mrs. Whitby, wife of a Hotel Exeter janitor, died at Dr Stackpole’s office after being taken ill on a horse carriage. Joseph C. McCready, 20, jailed for forging a U S supreme court judge’s check, returned to Washington in custody. Daniel Poland, 23 Belmont street, fell overboard near Nickerson’s Wharf, rescued and hospitalized semi conscious. Mary Brien, 52, wife of Thomas Brien, died after a drunken fit at her father’s house on Tremont street. Medical Examiner Draper notified.
