Jury Out In Silas Drew Case As Judge Warns Contempt
The Silas 8 Drew case left to the jury at 4 30 pm yesterday had not reached a verdict by 10 pm last night and Judge Sherman adjourned court. The jury may remain out overnight and report at 9 30 am today. During the trial Judge Sherman warned jurors about published reports deemed contempt of court and questioned jurors about possible prejudice or ties to creditors.
