Unusual divorce hearing in Suffolk court
In Suffolk court yesterday a cross libel case between Lydia E Farley and John H Farley proceeded after Judge Dubuque adjourned to catch a Fall River train. Three witnesses testified before the court stenographer for later submission to the judge.

Farley Libel Trial Adjourned as Judge Bars Late Testimony
Judge Dubuque warned lawyers that all testimony must end before 4 pm to adjourn the January session. The libel case against John H. Farley moved slowly with nine witnesses, while Mrs Farley, alleging abuse, described a two and a half day honeymoon turmoil and multiple assaults, including kicks and being struck with a cuspidor. The court adjourned to Monday morning with remaining witnesses to be submitted in manuscript form.

Maine Central Grants Raise
Workmen of the Maine Central railroad gained wage increases averaging seven percent and won free passes on the road. John J. Gallagher, fourth international vice-president of the International Brotherhood of Railroad Car Men, reported the victory to Boston local officers. Transfer of Candlemas Observance at Cathedral
Observance of Candlemas Day is moved to Monday with candle blessing at 9 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross. Since Monday is St Blaise day throat blessings will occur in all Catholic churches diocese wide with ceremonies at 6, 7, 8 a.m. and a solemn high mass at 9 a.m. Throat blessings for children at 4 p.m. Adults may have blessings at 8 p.m. Monday night at the Cathedral.
Jesuits Take Final Vows In solemn Boston ceremony
Five Jesuit priests will take their final vows at the Church of the Immaculate Conception tomorrow morning. A 9 o'clock low mass will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas J. Gasson S J, Boston College president, who will receive the vows in this region. The five are Rev. James F. Mellin S J Roxbury, Rev. Joseph P. Green S J Charlestown, Rev. Charles J. Hennessy S S J Philadelphia, Rev. Matthew I. Fortier S J Vergennes Vt, and Rev. A J Boyle Auburn.
