Oliver H. Durrell, member of the Governor's Council from the third district, died at his Cambridge home at 11 Dana Street after a weeks illness and an abdominal cancer operation. Family were present as he passed away just before 11 PM.

Receivers Appointed for Smith & Kraft Hotel Bellevue

John C. Randall and RE Clarence Hovey were named receivers for Smith & Kraft, owners of the Hotel Bellevue. Each posted $25,000 bonds and took possession to protect creditors. Judge Francis C. Lowell ordered the appointment amid $150,000 in liabilities, $74,598 secured. Building owned by a syndicate with Minots as major holders.
