In District Court James O Laughlin of Stoneham was fined 25 plus costs for disturbing the peace and another 25 plus costs for assaulting Conductor Warren Keay of the Boston and Maine on the last train from heading for Boston. He, intoxicated, threatened to clear the car and drove his arm through a window, injuring his own arm as the train waited thirty minutes for a doctor.
