Mrs Bob. A harsh tale of romance and theft in a garrison town
A review of Mrs Bob by John Strange Winter criticizes the novel as a disagreeable story set in a town with a garrison. It centers on Julia and her weddings, a sentimental Australian lover, bold robberies, and a dramatic confrontation between husband and wife. Mrs Bob is a clever but shadowy figure, and the ending trails into an indefinite departure. The prose and title are noted as uninspiring. Published by F. F. Lovell & Co in Lovell's International Series at 30 cents.
