Prince Tuan and Prince Chaung Arrested by China

The Shanghai correspondent reports Prince Tuan and Prince Chaung were arrested on the Shan-Si borders. Yu-Hsien ordered to return to Sian-Fu for execution. Foreign ministers expect China to accept joint-note conditions within a month as the note heads to the dowager Empress and Emperor.

Joys of Christmas marred by crime in North End stabbing

A fatal stabbing occurred about 9 PM at the corner of Margaret street and Cleveland place in the North End, involving Paolo Dribasso age 24. The assailant fled. Dribasso died from a knife wound after being treated at the tron house and Massachusetts General. A separate incident involved Fanny Lucas and Mrs. Thomas, with Lucas firing twice, wounding Mrs. Thomas. both women were arrested.

Swedish shoemaker stabbed in fray over cigars

Cras Anderson a Swedish shoemaker lies in hospital with a severed jugular vein and a missing thumb after a fight with Carlo Dimarco Frank Breto and Frank Dimarco. Dimarco elder and Breto are held on assault charges while Frank Dimarco faces assault with intent to kill. Police will arraign them before Judge Gerry tomorrow morning.

Revolver Quarrel Wounds Woman At Shawmut Avenue

Elizabeth Thomas, a 3 year old colored woman, married and living at 42 Shawmut avenue, was shot and seriously wounded last night at about 9 o clock following a quarrel at the same address.

Knives Used In Fight In Portland Street Brawl

In Portland Maine early today three long shoremen Olaf Olesen Martin Olesen and Thomas Olesen and two sailors from the cutter Woodbury Henry Hubner and Melvin Stinson fought in the street. Knives caused injuries to all five with Martins back wound viewed as potentially fatal. The wounded were taken to Maine General Hospital and the four Woodbury men were arrested. The Olesen party claim provocation.

Struck With Hammer Threatens Henry Crocker’s Health

Henry Crocker a Boston hat company proprietor was struck on the head with a hammer. He was admitted to Emergency Hospital in a dazed condition and said the blow harmed his hearing and perhaps his sight. Police have no details and Crockers recently moved from 240 Massachusetts Avenue.

French Boxers Fire On Detachment Near Hung Tsu

A French unit of 100 men moving toward Hung Tsu was met by Boxer fire across a frozen creek. Lieutenant Contal was killed and an aged officer wounded as the French withdrew after burning the village.

Robbed and Thrown Into River Near Millville Bridge

Frank Jollie, 86, reports being held up by highwaymen on Central Street Bridge last night. They robbed him of 128 dollars and threw him into the river, but he swam ashore unhurt and cannot describe the assailants.
