Legion Protest Over Christmas Visits To Veterans
Massachusetts hospital officials faced a Legion hospitalization committee at the State House over restricting Christmas Day visits and gifts for wounded veterans. Mrs. Arthur Bishop detailed poor conditions at Worcester and Westboro facilities, including lack of clothing, delaying trees and concerts planned by welfare workers and auxiliary members. The Legion vows action, including seeking meetings with state officials and possibly Governor Coolidge.
