The memory of Curtis Guild former Massachusetts Governor and Russia ambassador was honored with two memorials dedicated at the State House. The Guild Memorial Association funded the steps from Beacon Street and the tablet inside the State House, funded by hundreds of friends of Guild.
Wing appeared in Quincy court on a vagrancy charge following an escapade in West Quincy Thursday night. Court Officer Arthur Hultman took him to Boston. at South Station Wing broke away and ran under a car before Hultman recaptured him.

Wallace, a telephone operator, who died suddenly Thursday while being taken from a Commonwealth avenue house in Allston to Frost Hospital in Chelsea. The body was moved to the undertaking rooms of C. A. Hearn in Chelsea.
Dr. Magrath conducted an autopsy but refused to disclose findings though he would issue a statement later. Boston Chelsea and Revere police, with Sergeant Frank Harrington, probe possible foul play while Miss Wallace’s whereabouts and past employment raise questions. Authorities suppressed an address on Commonwealth avenue, Allston, linked to the ride ending in her death.
Miss Elizabeth Mahoney, 25, visiting at 496 Broadway, Somerville, rushed through smoke to an upstairs bedroom and rescued Francis Carroll, four, son of John Carroll, saving him from suffocation as flames engulfed the Carroll home last evening.

A gunman aiming to rob J. Clifford Reynolds at 247 Main Street Charlestown was shot in the calf after Reynolds resisted. Reynolds, a Somerville collector from 13 Thorpe Street, faced three shots and thwarted the hold up as he confronted the attacker who fled with supposed accomplices.
Reynolds, gathering collections, was stopped by a gunman who forced him toward Hawthorne place alley. Three shots were fired, one hitting Reynolds in the leg. The robber fled into a rear yard with confederates, pursued by bystanders. Reynolds was taken to the relief station.
Washington Dec 22 The Wilson family Christmas party at the White House was completed with Francis B Sayre and his wife and their two children arriving. Arrangements were made to dispose tomorrow of 125 turkeys to married White House employees.
