Austrian surgeon Lorenz heals hip dislocations in eight minutes

At Boston's Children's Hospital Dr. Lorenz from Vienna reduced four congenital hip dislocations in eight minutes after a five hour train journey. Roosevelt has not accepted arbitrator role in Venezuelan dispute

Wachusett Dam Threatened by Flood

Clinton December 22 heavy rain and a warm south wind pushed water into the Wachusett reservoir threatening the temporary dam. Gates at the head house were opened as millions of gallons rushed down the Nashua River old bed. The water was diverted into the Metropolitan tunnel and tunnel gates remained open all day. Traffic on the Central Massachusetts line between Hudson and Oakdale halted. passengers routed via Ayer.

The Lake Shore train covered 154 miles from TYO Jedo to Elkhart Indiana at an average speed of over a mile a minute, completing the trip in 127 minutes.

Volta Pulaski of Chelsea was accidentally shot in the head by his 16 year old brother Ixank. A bullet passed through the brain and surgeon Dr. E Frank Guild removed the bullet after two days. Land slide wrecks a Maine train near Keene

A freight and passenger train on the Boston and Maine line four miles north of Keene New Hampshire was derailed by a landslide on December 22. The Green Mountain Flyer carried 2000 cans of milk and multiple cars. two Worcester, Massachusetts men, James Healey and John Nugent, suffered injuries. Engineer Miller and fireman Willard Osgood escaped unharmed. Traffic halted for hours while crews cleared the track. The court sentences Libby and Murphy to prison terms of about ten years for related offenses.

Brighton burglars receive ten year state prison terms

Charles Libby and Charles Murphy dubbed the Brighton burglars were sentenced to ten years in state prison by Judge Stevens after delays to review their appeals. Probation Officer Keefe noted they were seasoned liars and old associates who had also served time in Thomaston jail, Maine. Hotel guest dies suddenly at Esse Hotel

August Craninger of Little Compton Rhode Island died yesterday in his room at the Hotel Esse around 5 PM. A doctor said death resulted from natural causes. He was about 50, six feet tall, 180 pounds, with a dark complexion and heavy black mustache. He wore a black soft hat, black cheviot suit, and black melton overcoat.
