Jordan Marsh announce a major annual sale of linen and initial handkerchiefs. Huge stock from 1/2 cent to 75 cents per item with plain hemmed, hem-stitched, and initial designs. New importations highlighted with Europe-made initials and bundled discounts.
Having cleared the entire stock of Silk Handkerchiefs from a New York manufacturer at a large discount from cost the retailer announces offerings on Monday morning at unheard-of prices for their retail counters.
The store offers the balance of its Fall importation of French Silk Underwear at under 50 cents on the dollar next week. Sizes are broken so customers must visit in person to choose. Goods not sent on approval and exchanges cannot be made after sale. They aim to close out within 10 days with sweeping reductions.
Lot 1 features four colors White Rose Azure Blue and Cardinal with suits reduced from 18 19 20 to 8 10 12. The offer includes rich silk underwear formerly 38 39.50 and 41 now 15 17 20. Also includes Richelieu striped silk underwear in Gold Black and Ox Blood Black, praised as the richest goods shown.
Regular price per suit ranged from 46 to 50 dollars with markdowns to 18 22 25 dollars. Suits include two garments a shirt and drawers and smaller sizes predominate. Also offered are Ladies and Gents French Crepe de Chine underwear from 2.50 each, formerly 5 to 8 dollars.
