Cronin trial ends with Beggs acquitted and Kunze jailed for three years

Sugar swindlers change plea in grand larceny case

New York December 16 Recorder Smyth denied the DA's motion to suspend sentence for the electric sugar swindlers who had pleaded guilty and allowed them to change their plea to not guilty, following the hearing this afternoon.

Japanese man sentenced to death for murder in New York

In the New York Court of Oyer and Ter miner yesterday Shohokio Jugilli a Japanese who stabbed and killed a fellow countryman was sentenced to death by electricity during the week beginning Feb 3 1890 Jugilli was last week convicted of murder in the first degree and receives the death penalty under the court ruling
