Reed’s odd acts included operating as M Levi and aiming to appear Jewish. He died at Taunton Insane Hospital in 1914 after drafting his will there in 1913. Governor-elect McCall and his office move into State House rooms while the executive chamber is repainted, as the Executive Council also relocates.
