Massachusetts City Elections Report Show Republican Mayors Lead

The Massachusetts cities held annual elections with eleven Republican mayors and three Democratic mayors. Newton and Boston did not elect a mayor, incumbents holding over. Alonzo R. Daly Re-elected Mayor in Cambridge Vote Debate

Daly won Cambridge mayoral race by 197 votes amid bitter campaign. Total 15,110 ballots cast. three arrests for alleged illegal voting and a clash between Daly and Downey occurred near Cambridge Field.
