Funeral for Mrs Foley Draws Crowds in New York

In New York on December 13, a large crowd gathered outside an undertaker’s shop awaiting the autopsy of Mrs Mary Ann Foley, alias Maud Merrill. Priest Rev J J Brouwer officiated after others refused. a coroner’s jury later found the murderer Robert Bleakley guilty and he was sent to the Tombs.

Proposal for Section of Control splits Paris politics

Insurrection Attempt Near Madrid Leaves Twenty Dead or Wounded

In Madrid suburbs a small insurrection was quickly suppressed by government forces. Twenty persons were killed or wounded before the uprising was quelled. Senor Martis told the Cortes the movement was likely incited by opponents of a new loan and carried no real threat to the city.
