Cider Tax Rules Foreseeable Under Prohibition Act
Mr. Casey states under the prohibition act no restriction is placed on cider manufacture sale or use. Tax applies on manufacture when sold in closed containers and if cider is sold as wine it is taxed as wine but not if not sold in wine form. The only tax is on soft drinks when sold by the manufacturer producer or importer in bottles or containers.
