Anti Government Demonstration Turmoil in St Petersburg

In Nevsky Prospect a noon anti-government protest drew large student participation. Police and mounted troops charged the crowd, sending demonstrators into confusion and onto sidewalks. Dozens were injured and many arrests followed in the wake of the clash. The incident recalls the 1901 riots on the same thoroughfare. Continued on Page 4-Second Colume
