United Housekeepers League Launches Egg Boycott

In Boston Greater this week the United Housekeepers League outlined plans to open a co op store in the market district to sell eggs and vegetables at cost and urged housewives to stop buying eggs. The group aims to strike within 10 days and hopes to set eggs at 17 cents a dozen with support from local farmers.

Women urged to remove hats in theatres

Laura Ferris of 44 Correg street lost her suit for 5000 damages against New England Amusement & Entertainment Co. in Suffolk County Superior Court. A jury found for the defendant after she was ejected from a South End theatre on December 28 for refusing to remove her large picture hat.

A second performance of Fevrier s Monna Vanna at the Boston Opera House drew a large audience for a three hour presentation. The identical cast from the first show last week received acclaim including Miss Garden as Vanna and Mr Muratore and Mr Ludikar in leading roles.
