In a Boston recount, 150 New England Telephone Company operators on Milk Street refuse to reveal their ages in exchange for money. They handle many calls daily and answer endless questions, yet age information remains off limits.
The Rev Patrick J Supple D D administrator of St John Roxbury is to be named auxiliary bishop of the Boston archdiocese. The public announcement is expected December 17. Supple, born in Holliston, long served in the diocese and studied at the American College in Rome.

A blaze on School street forced about a hundred people to flee their three story building by roof to roof access before reaching ground safely. The Globe moving picture theatre and the Dux Toy Company blocks were destroyed in the late fire.
