Washington December 2 The Pan American Congress debated its rules for proceedings this afternoon and adjourned with a resolution making discussions and decisions private unless decided otherwise. The Groton sailing from Staten Island to Baltimore caught fire near Winter Quarter Shoal Lightship on November 30 at 1030 PM. Twenty crewmen escaped to the Thames River by lifeboat and the Thames River stood by for half an hour before continuing to Baltimore. Built at Green Point in 1870, the 1260 ton vessel had just been sold to Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Company.

Warren B. Potter of Weeks & Potter wholesale druggists died yesterday afternoon at Hotel Kempton where he was owner. Born in New Bedford he sailed as a seaman before joining Andrew G. Weeks to build a leading drug house. He later founded Potter Drug & Chemical Co on Columbus Avenue and served as director of the International Trust Co and Central National Bank. Potter, age seventy, leaves a widow and no children.
Dr H B Hill a leading Maine physician dies at his Augusta home in his late seventies after a medical career spanning five decades. Also reported are the sudden death of Mrs Jane Wason Hyde in Springfield from apoplexy and Samuel Wilkeson secretary of the Northern Pacific Railroad Company passing away at his New York residence from heart failure.

Four men connected to the Milton November 21 fatality appear before Judge Humphrey in Quincy. De Lucca is held for the April Superior Court term, with Cocciara bound at 2500 dollars.
