David Leavitt a 22 year old Springfield confectionery merchant was found shot in a carriage in Agawam woods. Loomis a Southwick farmer's son and Leavitt's companion was arrested at Westfield. blood noted on Loomis necktie. The horse returned home alone as officers seek the killer.
