Auto theft attempt ends in chase on Brimmer Street
Two young men, about 20, tried to steal Charles G. Andrews’s auto on Brimmer street in Back Bay. Andrews chased the vehicle, grabbed a rear door, and the thieves leapt out as speed carried the car toward the esplanade. Citizens joined the pursuit but the pair escaped.

Tragic Death At East Hartford Station
A four year old, George Tennant of East Hartford, was killed at East Hartford station when he fell under a moving train as he waved goodbye to his wife and children. Authorities say death was instantaneous and occurred while attempting to jump to a car step.

Lynn Girl's Hair Cut Off
John B. Bacheller a lodger on Union street Lynn was arrested last night for cutting off the braid of 14 year old Ethel Sollett of 514 Eastern avenue Lynn. She and her sister saw a man near the candy store window and heard scissors. Police say Bacheller committed a similar act in Boston.

Thieves Strip Auto of Tires in Dorchester
An automobile owned by C E Osgood of Brookline was stripped of its tires and tool box by thieves shortly after 9 PM while parked on Whitby terrace Dorchester. Chauffeur Joseph Knox had the car and was visiting friends.

Three Boston Boys Nabbed While Aiming for Maine Woods
Three youths Edward Doody 13 Edmund White 15 and William Hughes 14 fled their homes in Boston and headed for Maine to seek woods camps and logging life. Patrolman John Cronin found them in Lynn and brought them to the Central police station where their parents were alerted as they readied to return home.

Charles town prison official resigns after 31 years of service
