Protests and Nominations Stir Municipal Race

Yesterday marked the final day to withdraw nominations and file protests in the municipal race. The committee proposed replacing A W Tufts with Edward H Dunn in Ward 13, but legality unclear. Multiple protests target candidates in Ward 19 and 20 over signatures and intimidation at ballots. The procedural flare preceded a theater party for Post newsboys with Stoney and Joe Lennon resolving a stage-row clash, and plans announced for the next theater visit at the Howard.
