In Boise Idaho on August 30 United News reports Rev David Jones rector of Christ Episcopal Church voided issuing a marriage certificate to Grover C Tyler and Sylvia Lloyd after learning Tyler was a divorced man. The couple had wed in a ceremony described as a love wedding and left for Salt Lake City on their honeymoon before the discovery.
Margaret Grogan ten year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Owen Grogan of Trumbull Street Hartford was severely injured when a truck backed down a grade struck by a live electric wire. The driver Walter Davis remained at the scene after police examined the brakes.
President Harding issued a proclamation ordering all persons involved in unlawful and insurrectionary proceedings in the West Virginia coal fields to disperse and retire peacefully to their homes before noon on Thursday September 1.

He offered no details on his plans or business in the city. Reports name Elizabeth Nelson as alleged co respondent and say she may be in Chicago after slipping from New York. Frazee denied knowledge of her whereabouts.
Mildred Starrett nine year old daughter of Mrs Mildred E Starrett of Savin Hill Dorchester was treated at City Hospital for back injuries after a stone struck her while she bathed at Savin Hill beach James F E Holland twenty three of 32 Church Street was arrested on a drunk charge by Officer Clarence C Strange from the iaid s Corner division who was also bathing with his wife at the beach

A brawl in Roxbury triggered by a new moonshine brand ended when police subdued three residents of 22 Copeland Street. William F. Fitzgerald 59 Mrs. Joseph E. Maguire 63 and her son Charles 38 were arrested after dragging residents from beds and guarding the house before officers entered.
In Waukegan Illinois a thief uses chloroform to stun chickens and steal them from coops. Over 1000 chickens have disappeared recently triggering farmer alarm and the formation of a vigilante group, the Klack Klack Klan, to capture the thief.
