Talk of bolts in fourth Suf folk district race in East Boston
In East Boston Ward 2 and city wards 12 and 16 a senatorial fight heats up with Rosnosky and ex-Rep Thomas J. Kelliher leading in Ward 16 where O Neil backs a straight result. Other contenders include Rep William J. Donovan and John Quinn Jr. Ward 16 discussions aim to draw Rosnosky to aid Kelliher while Quinn hints at an independent bid if fairness is not ensured. Senator Leary returns from Old Orchard to size up the scene as Ned likely runs for Governor Council and tests Sullivan of East Boston for an executive adviser post.
