Supreme Judicial Court case on Boston bank check payments

The court reviews two cases about bank clearinghouse rules. In Merchants’ National Bank v National Eagle Bank, delays at the clearinghouse caused a check to miss one o’clock return, with rulings favoring the plaintiffs based on timing and clearinghouse rules.
