Francis Wilson heads the Actors Equity Union as 300 actors meet at Westminster Hotel and plan a Labor Day parade. Six leading theatres will be tied up by the strike action.
About 300 actors and theater workers voted to strike on Labor Day in Boston. Venues hit include Park Square Theatre Buddies Plymouth Breakfast in Bed Tremont See-Saw Wilbur Oh My Dear Shubert Somebody's Sweetheart and Colonial featuring Raymond Hitchcock's Hitchy-Koo.
Italian dreadnought Conte di Cavour sailors were feted by the North End community, led by ship commander and notable officers. U S naval men stationed in Boston joined in the celebrations as Italian colonists recalled historic fervor and pride in a spontaneous, riotous display of gratitude.
Earle Wilson age 19 was arrested after a chase through Medford lasting over a mile. He is charged with breaking and entering the homes of Roderick McKinnon and Robert Houg. Jewelry thrift stamps and watches identified as stolen were found on his person. Wilson says he lives in Charlestown.
Senate foreign relations committee approved a second textual amendment to the peace treaty granting the United States equal representation with Great Britain in the League of Nations. Senator Johnson of California offered the proposal as Lodge comments followed the committee’s executive session.
After a full hearing the elections committee voted to send to Boston for 1307 disputed ballots in the John F. Fitzgerald Peter F. Tague contest. Ballots are stored in the Boston Election Commission vaults and will shape the committee’s decision.

A cloudy warmer forecast for Boston and vicinity notes increasing cloudiness Saturday with warmth and unsettled conditions Sunday bringing occasional showers and thunderstorms. Winds are moderate from the southwest and west, with fair conditions from Sandy Hook to Hatteras and generally fair elsewhere east of the Mississippi.
Ralph Page fourteen of Lynn drowned at Corbett's Pond near Wyndham New Hampshire as cramps pulled him from a boat. Scouts, who saw him topple over, summoned help but the body did not surface. Edith C. Falkins age 2 of 2 Superior street Lynn was fatally struck by a heavy truck on Superior street near her home while crossing to answer a playmate. The driver Harry Holt and vehicle owner Brunswick Holland Co were arrested for manslaughter and later released on bail.
Assurances that if Boston police decide to strike they will be joined by other labor organizations were given to the Hub's police at a meeting in Fay Hall yesterday. The support, offered through official resolutions, heartened union leaders.
