AID FOR BANKS ON WAR LOANS
Secretary McAdoo plans an amendment to the War Finance Corporation law to let banks borrow 100 percent of their advances to war enterprises and require 133 percent collateral. Current rules permit 75 percent loans with added collateral, tying up credit and squeezing bank lending. Directors have approved the amendment and it will be sent to Congress.
