The chaplain visited at breakfast and the revulsion left her weaker than since arrest. Rumor says her alleged lover sailed for Boston on the Scythia from Liverpool yesterday.

Pierroteum W Va Aug 23 A terrible collision on the Balti more and Ohio railroad between Petroleum and Silver Run tunnel left three dead and many wounded. The accommodation train due at Parkersburg at noon struck a special train used by railroad magnates on a inspection tour. Causes cited include conflicting telegrams. Fire and engine crews perished, with several officials and passengers badly injured. Parcels, wreckage, and bodies were brought to Parkersburg as crowds gathered. The Knoxville relief scene followed with many hurt and doctors scarce. The coroner exonerated the Knoxville line in a later inquest. Additional wrecks and fires reported in Enis Penn and other towns.

William Kenney eighteen of Cambridgeport employed by Harvard Printing Company met a serious accident yesterday around five. He climbed to the third story, left the platform door closed behind him, then returned and stepped into the elevator shaft as it had risen to the floor above. He fell to the cellar suffering broken arm and leg and internal injuries. he was removed to Massachusetts General Hospital. His parents live on Front street in Cambridgeport.
James Donovan of Quincy, a quarryman living on C Street, suffered the loss of both hands yesterday in a premature blast. He was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment.
