Death and political notes from a Boston era
A late 19th century column notes the passing of Dr J W Stone, praising his urbanity and patriotism. It mentions Democrats meeting in Boston wards to choose delegates for Worcester State Convention. Scattered items include a trival accident with a turnstile and a Punch magazine joke, plus political and social snippets from Springfield and New Hampshire. Among brief items are a provincial auction notice, a homoeopathic testimony controversy, and a Paris life of Jesus satire.
