Prices Equal Reduction in Cloth Market Change
Fall River reports a mixed manufacturing scene with cloth prices rising from 26 8 to 23 4 cents per yard for 64x64s since yesterday. The gain matches the potential savings from a 10 percent wage cut, leaving little demand and treasurers avoiding new contracts as they sell only on hand stock amid future uncertainty.

Juul's End Danvers Contractor Shot in Lexington
Conrad Juul a 61 year old Danvers contractor was found dead near a Lexington water works site. Authorities deem the death accidental though questions remain about motive and sequence after a morning gunshot wound to the head. Neil Juul the son witnessed the scene and a preliminary medical examiner ruling cites accidental shooting. The case notes Juul’s habit of inspecting his revolver before signaling workers and suggests the weapon discharged as he faced away from its muzzle.
