Strange Long Island King Fish Displayed at Parker House

At the Parker House on Wednesday a rarely seen fish specimen was exhibited. It measured four feet eleven inches and weighed 55 pounds, caught in Long Island Sound by hook and line. Its body bore scaves four to five inches across, brilliantly transparent with silver foil like skin at the tips. The mouth was large and toothless. Prof. Agassiz identified it as the king fish known in books and noted it would be good eating.
