Gamaliel Bradford born January 15 1831 in Boston a retired banker and author resided in Boston most of his life. He attended Harvard graduating A B in 1849 and married Clara Crowninshield Kinsman in 1861. she died in 1866. Bradford served in banking 1858 68 with Blake Brothers Co and later lived at leisure. He belonged to the Massachusetts Historical Society and other societies and wrote Lessons of Popular Government. Survived by son Gamaliel Bedford Jr. He was a friend of General Miles and supported Bryan in campaigns and John Moran for governor.
