Undertaker Rogers Saves Children From Roxbury Fire
In Roxbury a barn fire near 17 New Heath Street trapped two young girls and a boy on a roof. Undertaker C J Rogers carried Sybil and Mary Porter from smoke filled stairs to safety, then helped flood smoke and flames before aiding fire crews. The Porter home sustained fire damage while the man’s apartment also suffered.
